Hereof, are washer pedestals Universal?

Universal washer and dryer pedestals are metal platforms or risers. They provide increased accessibility and storage options. A washing machine pedestal base raises a front-loading washer.

They are easy to put on with simple tools and when they need to be removed they are quickly taken off. Two people will make the task much easier, as the washer can be quite heavy to move around.

Unplug the cord from the wall and duct tape it to the side of the appliance. This protects it from being stepped on and perhaps damaged while you are moving around the washer.

Clear out sufficient space around the washer to lay it on its side. Place cardboard or a blanket on the floor where the appliance is to be laid to protect its finish from scratches.

Second level

Remove any drawer from the pedestal.  Water trapped inside might come out when the washer is on its side. Use the towels to wipe up any spills around the area.

Remove the “feet” that go into each pedestal. Some washer models require these same feet to be attached to the washer bottom when the pedestal is removed, so keep them to the side. Most feet attach with a screw through the bottom. Remove the hardware attaching the pedestal to the bottom of the washer.

These can either be screws or bolts, requiring the wrench.  With some models, they are using the same holes at each corner. Where the feet would normally be attached.

Reconnect the feet directly to the washer bottom. Tip the washer back to an upright position. If the washer is going to be used in this condition, place the bubble level on the top and level the appliance by adjusting the feet in or out.
